Jogging....has since been part of my lifestyle, a must for me since i entered NS.

I remember back in my secondary school years, where i reign top 3 in class for long distance running. I was even awarded a trophy during X-country for each and every year. It was a proud moment to me at that point of time, since i was totally a hopeless guy in terms of relationship and academic achievement.

Good times don't last, and since after my O level, i follow the route of what most guys in my class do...enrol into Polytechnic.

I chose Singapore Polytechnic, a place where i can start afresh...shelving away bitter memories of my poor result, idiotic and destructive teacher and forsake the opportunities of waking up last minute to go school.

Eversince i was enrol into poly, i did not have the discipline to go for a jog. There was no lesson on keeping fit. Seriously speaking, i wasn't the least bother by it, since that was the first time i enrol myself into a mixed school.

I still remembered my first jog after 4 years of slackering. I was kinda forced into it, left with no choice and i dare to say its Damn tough. I had to be in the army by june if i failed my NAFA. Of course, which normal person would want to go in immediately after his final exam?

Left with no choice, i had to train up my NAFA. The first thing i do is go jogging, and thats the first activity of the day. It was seriously tough at first, i wanted to give up..i could barely jog the distance i used to. But success will always build upon success through repetition. I finally got used to it and enrol myself in Toa Payoh stadium for NAPFA.

I waited for 3 weeks before i was able to take my NAPFA. The Physical Training Instructor aka PTI was very strict. I still remember they fault me on chin up because i did not straighten my arms...waste so much of my strength..:(

Eventually, i pass my NAPFA and was granted 1/2 year late entry to the army. I was so delighted. Habit got on to me soon thereafter, i stop jogging and went back to my slackering lifestyle.

It was in my BMT days, where the crave for jogging come haunting at me day and night. We don't get jogging session every now and then, and the first time we heard we are going for a jog, my whole platoon was so enthusatic. "Finally, i feel like in the army." That was how we felt back then..

But even in BMT, We only have 3 jogging session. Thats so pathetic, reason might be recruits die after jogging..:(

In my current camp, my ex-CO (big boss) loves jogging. He would held a jogging session almost once a week. Sad to say, my unit is extremely heretic, Peak period, we only get to jog once a few months.

You can't hold a good man down for too long and i have slowly developed the habit of jogging. Its has become more than a must since then...
